Peter Tyszewicz, P.Eng., MBA,

President and Chief Executive Officer

A professional engineer with over 20 years experience in product development, management and operations, Mr. Tyszewicz holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Queen's University and a MBA from the University of Detroit-Mercy. In his previous role as COO of Sixtron, Mr. Tyszewicz oversaw the deployment of Sixtron’s first generation gas delivery technology and the development of the company’s supply chain . He also oversaw the development of the Sixtron’s next generation high capacity gas delivery technology and has assembled a strong technical team to position the company for growth. Prior to joining Sixtron, Mr. Tyszewicz was Vice-President of Manufacturing, Product Development and Operations for QuestAir Technologies - a developer and supplier of innovative industrial gas purification systems for oil refining, biogas production, natural gas processing and hydrogen based alternative energy systems. In addition, he held various positions in the automotive industry worldwide, including Managing Director, Business Manager, Program Manager and Sales Engineer for such firms as Ingersoll-Rand and Walbro Automotive. As a Management Consultant for Ernst & Young LLP, Mr. Tyszewicz specialized in improving manufacturing operations and product development for industrial and automotive companies.

Junegie Hong, PhD,

Chief Technology Officer

Junegie has over 15 years experience in material and plasma science and technology R&D and commercial business experience in Canada, France, Netherlands, and Korea. His experience includes R&D and project management activities in photovoltaic (PV) industry and academia including amorphous thin film silicon and crystalline silicon solar cells.
During his research work in the Netherlands, he obtained a pioneering achievement with ECN (Energy Research Center in the Netherlands) for silicon nitride (SiNx) hydrogen passivation of multi-crystalline silicon solar cells.
He has been deeply involved in completion of Technology Roadmap and Technology Tree for silicon photovoltaic technology at Samsung, Korea. He obtained a six sigma green belt certification at Samsung. He has an established track record in R&D with over 30 published papers and patents.
Junegie holds a Ph.D. in physics from Universite de Nantes, France, and a B.S and M.S in Physics from Ajou University in Suwon, Korea.

Michael Davies, PhD, MBA, MIEEE, CMC

Senior Vice President

Mike has over 20 years of experience in managing product development, R&D projects, and IP portfolios.
As an entrepreneur, Mike was a co-founder of MetroPhotonics which raised ~$70M of start-up funding in 2000, and prior to Sixtron, Mike helped found an ophthalmic instrument company.
Mike has a diverse technical background, having risen through the technical ranks into R&D management and more recently into business development roles.
Mike holds a PhD (University of Nottingham) in Physics, an Executive MBA (University of Ottawa) and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (MIEEE). He has authored or co-authored more than fifty referred scientific publications and holds nine US patents.

Bates Marshall

Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Bates has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing in semiconductor equipment and solar markets. Bates was most recently Industry Sales Manager of $225M Semiconductor and Solar industry group at Rockwell Automation, a leading global provider of industrial automation control and information systems. As Industry Sales Manager, Bates has led solution development and sales management functions, provided leadership in defining strategies for pursuing emerging high-tech market spaces, and worked to align the company's product portfolio with customer needs. He came to Rockwell Automation in 2002, and has held a variety of sales roles of increasing responsibility within the company's Global Industry Sales group.

Paul W. Cooper

Managing Director

Paul has close to a decade of experience in China executing joint ventures and other complex investment and legal structures for foreign companies. As a Manager with Schroders Asia Limited in Shanghai, Paul oversaw the establishment of industrial Sino-foreign joint ventures on behalf of North American and European multinationals. His operational experience includes executive positions with Schneider Power (wind power), and CEO of Intercedent Ventures (now ARISE Technologies, a PV cell manufacturer listed on the TSX). Twenty years ago, Paul was among the first foreigners to study Chinese law as a domestically accredited student and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School.
